My husband and I opened PersNIKKIty's in 2011, because we wanted to use both my experience as a savory chef and my love for the "sweeter" things in life. I began working in restaurants at 14 years old and quickly learned that this is where my passion was, cooking and hospitality.
I graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 2003 and headed straight for New York to follow my dreams. In 2005, I graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, and was ready to begin my career. After graduation, I moved to Brooklyn, NY and joined the amazing crew at Charlie Palmer's Metrazur in New York's Grand Central Station.
After a few years in New York, I was ready to move home and start my own journey.
PersNIKKIty's began with a friend's baby shower cake in 2009. That's when I discovered my love for cake decorating. I've been able to combine my passions in PersNIKKIty's, providing a full breakfast and lunch menu, along with pastries, cupcakes, and cakes made-to-order.
I truly love what I do and enjoy the daily challenges of owning my own business. I want to thank all of our loyal customers for our continued success.
